Christians Suffering in India (Missions)

Young girl recently tortured for being a Christian in India

Recently, I got an email sent to me from a friend in Kansas about a section of the world that I often think about- North East India. The situation sounds very similar to the days of Nero when he blamed Christians for lighting Rome on fire, and then tortured them for a crime he committed himself. Below is a note/video from the founder of Gospel for Asia that gives you the "real deal" on what is going on in North East India.
"Imagine that an angry mob attacked your church. They burn the church building—also your home-to the ground. They follow up this destruction by raping, torturing and murdering the individuals in your congregation—simply because they chose to follow Christ.
This horrific situation is reality for hundreds of pastors, missionaries and other believers throughout Orissa, India, during the past week. Our brothers and sisters desperately need your prayers. I am providing a link to a video outlining the situation and explaining how I'd like you to pray for these people who are literally losing everything because of their faith.

I ask that you please download this video here and show it to your congregation during your service on Sunday. Then please lead your people to pray on behalf of these persecuted Christians.

We have seen this week that our enemy is crafty and strong; but this weekend, as your church meets for a time of worship, let's pray together to a God whose power and might far exceed anything we could hope or imagine. Our brothers and sisters in Orissa are depending on it."

Yours for the unreached,
