The Forbidden Tribe (part one)

While we were on the island we told people that our hearts were broken for the unreached and throughout a series of conversations they told us about a forbidden tribe. A Bunlap village that wanted nothing to do with Christianity. The chief warned Christians and missionaries to stay away and had previously burned every Bible that was given to the tribe. The more people talked against this tribe the more our hearts sensed that God had commissioned us to go forward to them.

Finding a translator was easy, but finding a translator that would go with us to this group of Bunlap was very difficult. One of our key men even backed out on our day of departure due to the Chief's desire for us to stay away. After reading Acts 5 one morning we all knew that God was the supreme authority and that we must obey Him above all.
